Overview

This qualification provides a practical, advanced and detailed understanding of the dynamic regulatory landscape and risk management strategies that can be implemented to monitor and manage risk in your organisation.  The qualification looks at the important part good corporate governance plays in the establishment of a compliance mindset within the teams and how to inculcate a good ethical culture. 

You will learn how to design and implement a governance risk and compliance system complete and learn all about monitoring and surveillance processes, procedures and reporting.  You will learn all about risk management strategies including policy creation and implementation, reporting and continuous improvement management.  You will gain an in depth understanding of the role of the compliance function and in particular the role of the money laundering reporting officer.  You will benefit from a very focused look at the customer lifecycle from onboarding through transaction monitoring, ongoing due diligence, suspicious activity reporting, terrorist financing and proliferation and the vulnerabilities of certain products and services. Sanctions, fraud and anti corruption are also studied in-depth.  You will learn how to be a valued strategic advisor to the business and how to manage internal and external stakeholders.  People and performance management along with strong leadership skills are developed through dedicated activities.  You will become highly competent in all aspects of data management including analytics and computational modelling, storytelling and visualisation, information security and cybercrime.

  • 6 modules to complete

How will you be assessed?

  • 4 x 3,000 - 3,500 words assignment. One assignment each for four (4) modules.
  • One x 3 hour open-book, invigilated short answer questions examination for two (2) modules

Typically, those who complete this qualification are:

  • already working within a compliance function and looking to develop their knowledge and skills still further and also advance their career

  • have been working within financial services for some time, have already completed a lower level ICA compliance qualification and looking to accelerate their career in the compliance function

    and/or

  • Individuals with compliance responsibilities as part of their existing role, have already obtained the ICA Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance and who wish to play a bigger part in the compliance function

 

Participants are required to

  • Have a good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Have achieved academic qualifications such as diploma, university degree or vocational qualification such as the ICA Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance.
  • Have a minimum of three years of direct knowledge and experience in compliance in financial services.

Upon completion, you will be rewarded:

  • ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance which is awarded by ICA in association with Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester

  • Participants who successfully complete this course with at least 3 years of relevant financial services industry experience and fulfill the required number of Technical Skills and Competencies (TSCs) for the selected job role can apply to be conferred the IBF Advanced (Level 2) certification status.

Each module on the diploma is SGD 2,650 plus GST.

Full Diploma Fee (6 Modules): SGD 15,900

For ICA’s Diploma in Regulatory Compliance OR Financial Crime Compliance, each module is considered as one programme.

The ICA Diploma in Regulatory Compliance has been accredited under the IBF Standards, and is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

Candidates are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.

IBF-STS provides 70% funding for direct training costs subject to a cap of S$3,000 per candidate per programme subject to all eligibility criteria being met.
