Why don’t you post suggested answers to questions or make available a particularly good assignment on the learning platform?
There are a number of reasons. First and foremost as well testing the candidate’s knowledge, part of the assessment is testing the candidate’s own ability to research a question and develop their own academic style; rather than adopting someone else’s style. Secondly, the variety of questions that we set mean that we would have to produce hundreds of model answers. Thirdly, as the qualifications are benchmarked at university level, it is not standard practice for universities to provide model answers.
However, you will find a copy of a Chief Examiner’s report for both assignments and examinations on the learning platform. This will give you an expectation of the level and content the examination team are looking for in your answers and should help you in preparing for the assessments.
What happens if I can’t attend a workshop?
A copy of the study materials from the workshop will be emailed to you following on from the workshop and if anything is unclear or you would like to discuss any particular points you can contact us to arrange to speak to you tutor.
The webinars for my course make reference to an Assessment Handbook but I can’t seem to find this?
This has been renamed the ICA Assessment Guidance 2014 and can be found in the Student Support area on the learning platform.
