On what part of the syllabus can an assignment question for the Diploma be set?
Generally we would say assignment one would represent the first half of the manual and assignment 2 the second half, but for the international programme that doesn’t work as what can be one person’s assignment 1 is another’s assignment 2 due to the rolling enrolments. As questions are published 12 weeks prior to the due date this should give you ample time to study the relevant aspect of the syllabus before writing the assignment. Recommended study time is 1 unit per week so by the time the assignment question is available a student may well have covered part of the related subjects in their day to day studying.
I passed the Advanced certificate in Compliance a while ago and I am now looking for a job in compliance. Do you know where I could find entry level positions or internships in a compliance department?
You can check out the ICA website ‘why choose a career in compliance?’ which has a number of useful links on it.
Also, try the ICA job zone or Thomson Reuters job portal
If you don’t have any experience, you generally need to tailor your CV to focus on transferable skills and make the most of the knowledge you have gained through your qualification – keep up to date with case studies, regulatory changes etc and then even though you can’t speak from ‘experience’ you can demonstrate you understand the environment and show you are keen to put that understanding to good use.
