Why should I study the UK instead of the International Diploma if I live in the UK?
The main themes of each version of the course are broadly similar. The UK Diploma naturally focusses more on the laws & regulations prevalent within the UK, although these are often driven by international frameworks, so broader influences are also addressed. The emphasis is slightly reversed in the international course.
If you are based in the UK, we would strongly recommend undertaking the UK course, as you will then be able to attend the workshops. The workshops are an interactive sessions led by experienced practitioners, involving plenty of discussion and exercises. They provide a great opportunity to network, ask questions and develop ideas. You will also find that the assignments and exam approach are covered. The closest centres where workshops for the international courses run are in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.
On the Learning Platform it shows my location as Birmingham but I am based in London, am I booked onto the correct workshops?
Birmingham is the default location for this website, you can amend this to your location if you wish. You will be booked onto the right workshops, wherever you chose to take the course. If you have any concerns you can go to the student website www.int-comp.com and check your course diary which will show you the location of your workshops.
